Elinor has been involved here on the Cathedral Close for a remarkable 40 years, becoming a dedicated volunteer leader in many aspects of Cathedral life. Her particular interest in preservation has led to her dedication to the repair and restoration of the Cathedral following the 2011 earthquake.

This complements her strong conviction that this sacred place is a leading symbol of spirituality for the country. Her counsel is sought often in developing programmatic ideas to address the critical issues of our times because the Cathedral holds a unique place and the intersection of sacred and civic life.

The Cathedral is honored to be a part of her spiritual journey and her philanthropy. As a member of the Cathedral Founders Society, she is a firm believer in supporting charities through IRAs and has graciously and generously included the Cathedral as a beneficiary of her fund.
